What is an eyewear digital twin?
An eyewear digital twin is an accurate 3D model of one frame — its geometry, materials and lenses — built so it can produce any image or interactive view of that frame, in any colourway, whenever it’s needed.
One model, many outputs
- Rendered product images: pack shots on white, transparent or brand backgrounds, and lifestyle or hero images
- Interactive 3D viewers on product pages (demo)
- On-model images across a roster of faces and sizes (demo)
- Lens previews: tints, mirrors and gradients (demo), and prescription lens thickness (demo)
- Virtual try-on and AR effects, through the .glb export
- Source files your own team can open in Blender
Colourways reuse the frame
Colourways share the frame’s geometry, so each extra colourway is a material change on a model that already exists — not a new build, and not a new shoot.
Change it later
New backgrounds, new lighting, new lens options or a season’s refresh are re-rendered from the file you already own. The frames never go back to a studio, and every image in the catalogue stays consistent with the rest.
Accurate, not approximate
Materials are physically based: acetate transmits and scatters light, metal reflects its surroundings, and mirror coatings and gradients behave as they do on the real lens. That is what lets one model stand in for the product across every channel.
Formats and ownership
Models are delivered as .blend, .glb/.gltf or .obj as standard, with other 3D formats on request (we don’t deliver CAD formats). Everything delivered is yours; our internal production files stay in-house.
