Clear and tinted lenses, mirror coatings, thin metal and translucent acetate all defeat 3D scanners, and a scanner can’t see inside the frame — wire cores, hinges, lens edges set into the rim. Convex3D models each frame by hand from references, so those parts are built rather than guessed.

No. We work from product photos, and use CAD files or technical drawings when you have them. Frames that haven’t been manufactured yet can be modeled from drawings alone.

Yes. Usable CAD speeds up the build. We check each file when it arrives and tell you which frames it covers cleanly.

You do. The delivered models and images are yours to use in any channel, with any vendor, for as long as you like.

3D models as .blend, .glb/.gltf or .obj as standard, with other 3D formats on request. Images as PNG, JPG or WebP, with transparent backgrounds where needed. We don’t deliver CAD formats such as STEP.

Yes. The .glb export is the standard input for web 3D viewers, virtual try-on services and AR effects.

Eyeglasses and sunglasses: acetate, metal, rimless and semi-rimless, wraps and shields, with clear, tinted, gradient and mirrored lenses.

No. Every image is rendered from a model of that exact frame and colourway, so it matches the product you ship.

Per frame model, plus a smaller amount per colourway, since colourways share the frame’s geometry. Annual commitments lower the rate. Send your catalogue for a quote, or ask for a free sample first.

We specialize in eyewear, and our production pipeline is built for it. Other products can be quoted as standard 3D modeling work.
