Eyewear digitization for brands and retailers

Convex3D is an eyewear 3D studio that digitizes whole catalogs: every frame modeled by hand, every colourway built on it, and new releases added as they launch. We’re a US-based studio with a team in Europe, and eyewear is all we do.

Trusted by Zenni. We digitized Zenni Optical’s entire catalog, keep it current as new frames launch, and render on-model imagery for every SKU — nearly a million images so far. Read the case study.

What a digitized catalog gives you

  • An accurate 3D model of every frame, with each colourway built as a material on the same geometry
  • Rendered product images for every SKU: packshots, angles, lifestyle and hero images, all consistent with each other
  • On-model images across a roster of faces (demo)
  • Lens previews — tints, mirrors, gradients and prescription thickness (demo)
  • Interactive 3D and virtual try-on assets as web-ready .glb files (demo)
  • Source files (.blend, .glb, .obj) your own team can use for media and campaign work

Built for catalogs, not one-off shots

A frame is modeled once; every colourway after that is a material change, not a new build or a new shoot. Everything is rendered the same way, so a catalog of thousands of SKUs looks like one catalog — and new releases join it without re-shooting what’s already there.

Where we start from

CAD files, technical drawings, product photos — or drawings of frames that haven’t been made yet. No samples need to be shipped. How we build.

What it replaces

Once a frame is digitized, a full set of great images costs far less than photographing it. Even for a single hero image, digitizing the frame and running a custom render is still significantly cheaper than a photo shoot — and that’s before counting everything else the model can do.

How a program runs

  1. We digitize one of your frames as a free sample.
  2. We review your catalog, sort frames by complexity and quote per frame model plus per colourway.
  3. Frames are produced in batches, and every render is checked against your references before delivery.
  4. New releases are added as they launch, so the catalog stays current.

Annual commitments lower the rate, and catalogs without a deadline can be scheduled as backfill work. How pricing works.
