Eyewear renders before samples exist

Convex3D can model a frame from CAD or technical drawings before it has been manufactured, so product images, 3D and try-on assets are ready before the first sample arrives.

What we need

CAD files or technical drawings with dimensions, plus references for the materials: acetate or metal swatches, colour codes and lens specifications. The more exact the inputs, the closer the render is to the finished frame.

Accurate to the drawing

Frames are modeled to the drawing’s dimensions and materials are built from your swatches. When production samples arrive, the renders can be checked against them and adjusted, so the pre-launch images and the product match.

Why scanning can’t do this

There is nothing to scan until the frame exists — and even then, eyewear scans poorly. A model built from the drawing is ready months earlier.

The same model after launch

Once the frame ships, the model keeps working: every product image, on-model shot, 3D viewer and try-on asset comes from it, with no reshoot. How catalog digitization works.
